Mildred H. Singler

Mildred (Millie) Helena Singler, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sept 30, 2022 at Orchard Meadows Senior Care Home in Bloomfield Hills, MI. She was born June 21, 1934, in Grindstone City MI. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Haug) Brining. Millie graduated from Owendale High School in 1953. She lived and worked in the thumb area and in Detroit where she met her husband to be Wallace Singler. They were married in 1957, a marriage that lasted for 55 years. They had 2 children, Wade (Julie) Singler and Jennifer (Jeff) Lobsinger and are also survived by 3 beautiful grandchildren (Samuel, Cassandra, Emily). Millie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Deckerville. She worked in various bookkeeping jobs in the area (Hazen Amy Chevrolet, Gordon Williams Oldsmobile, and the Sanilac County Bank) before retiring. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Millie will be missed by everyone that knew her. Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Singler, her parents, brother (Albert Brining) and sisters (Eleanor Horst and Pearl Johnson). The family will receive family and friends on Saturday Oct 8 from 10:30 to noon at the Apsey Funeral Home, 3467 Main St, Deckerville, MI with a service starting at noon and a luncheon following at the Community Center. Burial of her cremains will take place following the luncheon at the Downing cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given to the charity of your choice in Millie's name.
