Minnie V. Willing, age 94, of Deckerville, died Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Marlette United Hospice Residents. She was born March 19, 1932, the daughter of the late Wesley and Dorothy (Pfeiffer) Tanton. Minnie graduated as the Salutatorian of the class of 1949. After graduation she attended and graduated from County Normal in Caro and went on to teach at the one room schoolhouse in Mills for two years. On July 22, 1950, she married John W. Willing. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2014. She worked at Deckerville Die Form retiring there in 1997. After that, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to Florida for the winters. Minnie is survived by two sons, John W. (Debbie) Willing of Deckerville and Craig (Amy) Willing of Carsonville and one daughter Cynthia (Phillip) Klaus of Cass City; her grandchildren, Steven (Beth) Willing, Marcia (Nathan) Vander Elzen, Brenda Cairo, and Richard (RJ) (Katie) Klaus; great grandchildren, Alexis, Miya, Kyle, Kaylie, Abigail, Cody, Connor, Noelle, Graham, Levi and Scarlett; and great great granddaughter Ryla; One sister Mrs. Ida Wadsworth; brother John (Lynette) Tanton; and sister-in-law Madeline (Bill) Pringle. And several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, parents Wesley John and Dorothy Tanton, brothers John Henry, Arthur, Walter and Robert. Sisters Marie and Phyllis.

Funeral services for Minnie V. Willing will be Wednesday June 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Service in the Peshek Family Funeral Home-Apsey Chapel, 3467 Main St., Deckerville, MI 48427. Pastor Brad Speirs will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Marlette United Hospice.
