Nelson Stolicker, Jr.

G. Nelson Stolicker Jr., age 77, of Deckerville, passed away Thursday June 23, 2016 in Port Huron McLaren Hospital. He was born December 11, 1938 in Deckerville, the son of G. Nelson Sr., and Mary (Dawson) Stolicker. On August 12, 1960 he married Miss. Phyllis A. Gough in Deckerville. She preceded in death February 8, 2012. Nelson was a graduate of Deckerville Community School, class of 1957. He was a lifelong area farmer who enjoyed hunting and activities with his family. He is survived by four sons, Howard (Tammie) Stolicker, Rodney (Jody) Stolicker all of Palms, David (JoAnne) Stolicker, and Dale (Kathy) Stolicker all of Deckerville, fourteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild, one brother Harold (Ruthie) Stolicker of Deckerville, one sister Mrs. Minnie Gillem of WY, several nieces and nephews, and his mother Mrs. Mary Stolicker of Deckerville. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, his father G. Nelson Stolicker Sr., and one son Thomas Stolicker. Funeral services to honor the life of Nelson Stolicker will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Garavaglia will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-9:00 PM., Friday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Downing Cemetery Association.
