Norma Jean Allen

Norma Jean (Jeanie) Allen, age 89, of Deckerville, passed away Monday May 27, 2019 in Hillside Home AFC, Decker, MI. She was born September 24, 1929 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude (Nickel) Theobald. On November 7, 1947 she married Gerald R. Allen in Deckerville. He preceded her in death May 12, 2007. Jeanie was a friend to everyone. She loved crafts, painting and making baskets. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She is survived by one daughter, Diana (James) Osentoski of Ubly; four grandchildren, Jimmy (Leigh) Osentoski of Kingston, Paul (Julie) Osentoski of Ubly, Holly Holmes of Marlette and Bill (Alisha) Cornell of Davison; seven great grandchildren, Brieann, Brandy, Tyler and Gavin Osentoski, Courtney Baird, Ryan Holmes, and Cayden Cornell; great great grandchildren Faith, Bryce and Miles; two brothers, Richard Theobald of Deckerville and William (Linda) Griffin of AZ; sister Judy (Bert) Thomas-Rogers of Maryland; sister-in-law Cathy Mylart (Griffin) of Howell and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter Lynda Cornel, stepfather Neil Griffin, brothers Jim Griffin and Tom Griffin; and sister Joyce (Fritch) Kujawski. Funeral services to honor the life of Norma Jean Allen will be 2:00 PM., Friday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. David Frost will officiate. Burial will be in East Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM., Friday until the time of the service. Memorials may be given to the family discretionary fund.
