Philip G. Sinz, age 86, of Deckerville, went home to be with the Lord, on September 12, 2012 in the home of his daughter. He was born December 22, 1925 in Detroit, the son of the late Friedolin and Alice (Hancock) Sinz. He married Georgia A. Pope on August 5, 1950 in Redford. Philip was a truck driver for the J.L. Hudson Co. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He enjoyed wood working, crossword puzzles and the Brown City Missionary Camp. Above all else he loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Georgia Ann Sinz, one dughter Lynn (Paul) Melcher all of Deckerville, two grandchildren, Brooke Erin (Allen) Young of Deckerville, and Jarred E. Melcher of NC., five great grandchildren, Renee Young, Elise Young, Jordon Young, Daniel Young, and Levi Young, one brother Robert Sinz and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Kruscinska, and Iris Pezanowski, and one brother Friedolin Sinz. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Philip G. Sinz will be 1:00 PM., Saturday in the Open Door Missionary Church, Sandusky, Rev. Rudy Thompson will officiate. Cremation will follow at Sunset Valley Crematory, Bay City.
