Phyllis Benjey

Phyllis L. Benjey, age 66 of Deckerville, died Wednesday August 27, 2008 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born July 11, 1942 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Wesley and Dorothy (Pfeiffer) Tanton. Phyllis enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jim and Pat Nichol of Deckerville, Shawn Ross and Tammy Roy both of Sandusky, Bonnie and Creg Berger of Deckerville, and Michael and Andrea Benjey of Palms. Three sisters, Marie (Al) Daldine of Williston, Fla., Minnie (John) Willing of Deckerville, Ida (Ken) Wadsworth of Sandusky, two brothers, J. Henry (Jane) Tanton of Morgantown, W.VA., and John (Lynette) Tanton of Deckerville, seventeen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Tanton, Robert Tanton, and Walter Tanton and one grandson Andrew Michael Benjey. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Phyllis L. Benjey will be 1:00 PM. Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Rev. David Frost will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-9:00 PM. Friday and from 11:00 AM., until the time of services on Saturday. Memorials may be given to the family discretionary fund.
