Raymond Caswell, age 79, of Deckerville, died April 20, 2008 in Bradenton, Florida.
He was born May 17, 1928 in Deckerville, the son of the late Orville and Carrie (Dumas) Caswell.
He married Laverna Kenny on March 25, 1949 in Deckerville.
Mr. Caswell drove the gas truck for S.T. & H. Oil Company for many years, delivering gas to the area farms. He enjoyed gardening and playing shuffle board when he was spending his winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife Laverna of Deckerville, two sons, Phillip (Piper) Caswell of Rockville, MD., Wayne (Jannie) Caswell of Sandusky, four grandchildren and one great grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Phillips of Decker, and Mrs. Rita Moehling of Sarasota, Florida, also thirteen nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. June Caswell of Sandusky and Mrs. Belva Caswell of Deckerville.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Winston, Cliff, Arthur, Morris and Francis.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Raymond Caswell will be 11:00 AM., Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Pastor Jeff Homan will officiate.
Burial will be in Downing Cemetery
Visitation will be 6-9 PM. Thursday and 2-9 PM., Friday.
Memorials may be given to the Gideon?s, Deckerville Community Hospital or Deckerville Bible Church.
