Rebecca Lynn Rich

Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Rich, age 63, of Deckerville, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 at Deckerville Community Hospital. Becky was born on November 21, 1955 to the late Robert and Doris Gahns in Port Huron. She attended Port Huron Schools, graduating in 1974. Becky was employed at the Sanilac Medical Care Facility, retiring in 2016. She married Thomas Rich on September 22, 2012, after being together for over 26 years. Becky loved life, family, nature, travel, Michigan football and polkas. She had friends and loved ones everywhere. She is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Mikki Rich; grandchildren Christopher (Brittany) and Lilly; great grandson Grayson; siblings Debbi (Herb) Lewis, Tim (Ellen) Gahns, Dan (Anne Marie) Gahns, Janice Ganhs; brother-in-law Gary Strieter, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close personal friends. Becky ways preceded in death by her parents and sister Sarah Strieter. A Memorial service to celebrate the life of Rebecca Lynn Rich will be 11:00 AM., Tuesday April 2, 2019 in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Garavaglia will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
