Renee C. Sawdon

Renee C. Sawdon, age 73, of Applegate, died Monday September 23, 2024, in the Marlette Hospice Facility.
She was born August 29, 1951, in Downington the last of seven daughters to the late Lawrence and Sarah (Dawson) Lake.
Renee grew up in Downington and attended Deckerville Community School. She graduated with the class of 1969. After graduation she worked at DOTT manufacturing, Yale Rubber, Falicia’s Restaurant and as a book vendor at Walmart. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
On December 22, 1995, she married Carl Sawdon in Sandusky.
Renee is survived by her husband, one son Larry (Jaenneke) Wolf, two stepdaughters, Lisa (Scott) McKernan, and Carrie (Dustin) Runyan; one stepson Averi Walker; two granddaughters Laken and Francesca Wolf; three step-grandchildren, Joscelyn Sawdon, Jayce Runyah and Jax Runyan; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her six sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
