Richard Lee Tanton

Richard L. Tanton, age 68, of Peck, formerly of Deckerville, passed away Monday August 11, 2014 in the Martinez Adult Foster Care Home. He was born August 2, 1946 in Sandusky the son of the late Leigh and Jean Tanton. Richard worked at Adapt Industries, he enjoyed driving the family boat, playing the guitar, and listening to country music. He is survived by two brothers Bruce Tanton and James and Diana Tanton all of Harbor Beach, and three sisters, Ms. Arlene Griffin of AZ., Barbara (Jerry) Amey of Comerce Township, and Ms. Mary Lou Tanton of AZ., aunts and uncles, Max and Ruth Tanton of Deckerville, Shirley Tanton of Sandusky, and Elaine and Ed Poole of Paw Paw, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Richard L. Tanton will be 11:00 AM., Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM., until the time of service on Thursday. Pastor Scott Markle will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Special Olympics or the Melvin Baptist Church.
