Robert Beaver

G. Robert Beaver, age 80, of Deckerville, died Sunday January 15, 2012 in St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw. He was born August 26, 1931 in Sandusky, the son of the late George and Bess (Ruggles) Beaver. He married Laura M. Shoemaker on August 5, 1950 in Sandusky. She preceded in death on January 9, 2010. Bob was a life long area farmer. A member of the McGregor United Methodist Church, and a long time member of Gideons International. He is survived by one daughter, Joan (Dennis) Brinkman of Sweetser, IN., two sons John (Dianna) Beaver of Sandusky, and Jeff (Shannon) Beaver of Deckerville, nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, one brother Garth Beaver of Fl., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Frank Beaver. Funeral services to celebrate the life of G. Robert Beaver will be 11:00 AM., Saturday in the McGregor United Methodist Church, Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Moore Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-9:00 PM., Friday in the Apsey Funeral Home.
