Ronald Morrison

Ronald B. Morrison, age 75, of Deckerville, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday May 25, 2008. He was born October 18, 1932 in Palms, MI., the son of the late John and Helen (Gibbard) (Nevins) Morrison. He married Miss. Ilene Smeader on December 10, 1955 in Deckerville. Ron was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed the land and farmed it his entire life. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed many sports and participated in his favorite game of baseball. He was even good enough to try out for the Detroit Tigers. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Ilene of Deckerville, four children Debbie (Wayne) Seres of Gladwin, Kathy (Rev. John) Arnold of Port Huron, David (Linda Jackson) of Palms and Steven (Faye) of North Branch, one brother Michael Nevin of Ca., and one sister Patricia (Richard) Normandin of South Rockwood. He has a legacy of eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burton and Mary Gibbard, his mother Helen Nevins and brother Garth Morrison. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ronald B. Morrison will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Rev. John Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-9 PM. Tuesday Memorials may be given to the Deckerville United Methodist Church or United Hospice.
