Sanford G. Mcgregor

Sanford G. (Sandy) McGregor, age 87 of Deckerville, passed away Friday May 29, 2015 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born August 2, 1927 in McGregor, MI., the son of the late Fred and Matilda (Gray) McGregor. He married Miss. Lois J. Mosure on May 28, 1949 in Deckerville. Sandy was a lifelong area farmer, who worked for Yale Rubber for forty two years. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and riding around his farm on his golf cart. He also was a member of McGregor United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Lois, two sons, Terry (Terre) McGregor all of Deckerville, Leigh (Lisa) McGregor of TN., eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James and one sister Mrs. Elizabeth Leach. Funeral services to honor the life of Sanford G. McGregor will be 11:00 AM., Monday in the McGregor United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial is in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM., Sunday in the Apsey Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM., until the time of services at church. Memorials may be given to the McGregor United Methodist Church.
