Sharon A Hooper, age 76, of Carsonville died September 23rd, 2022, peacefully in Milford Michigan surrounded by family. She was born November 24th, 1945, in Sandusky, the daughter of the late Gordon and Agnes (Sweet) Hooper. She grew up in Carsonville and attended Deckerville High School. Upon graduation she moved to Washington DC to begin her life adventure outside of Deckerville. Sharon had many aspects to her life, mother, businesswomen, wife, and grandmother. In business, starting out in the secretarial pool at the Pentagon to ultimately becoming President of Teamsters Health and Welfare Fund, her drive was unmatched. Sharon married George Lee in August of 1985 and they spent the next 17 years enjoying life together, traveling in their motorhome, wintering in Florida, and enjoying George's gourmet cooking until his passing in 2002. In 1998, when her first grandchild was born, she found her calling, fulltime grandma and so she retired from Teamsters and enjoyed taking her grandchildren, Paige, and Hunter many places including the Sandusky 4H Fair, camping in the summer and having them down to Florida and Disney in the winter. Even though she couldn't skate so well herself and knew very little about hockey other than the Red Wings, she loved watching Paige compete in figure skating and Hunter play hockey. She also enjoyed her dogs, riding her Harley, and being a "cart girl" in Florida for the tips and free golf until her health gave way. Sharon moved in with her son "Bobby" and his family for the final 7 years of her life which allowed her to spend more precious time with her grandchildren and share their accomplishments over that time. She truly lived her life in step with her favorite song, Frank Sinatra's "My Way". She is survived by her son "Bobby" (Cindy) Bartholomew, grandchildren Paige and Hunter Bartholomew, Nieces Michelle Muir, Kim (Doug) Neumeyer, Bobbie Jo Hooper and Nephew Scott (April) Hooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Agnes, sister Janet Pohl, and brother Bob Hooper. Funeral service to honor the life of Sharon A.
