Sharon (Belger) Varosi, of Deckerville, passed away peacefully at her home on
Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Sharon was born to the late Christian and Ruth (Schumacher) Belger on October 12,
1945, in Deckerville.
She married the late James R. Varosi on July 18, 1964, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
in Argyle, Michigan.
Sharon was a graduate of Deckerville High School and was a dairy farmer with her
husband for many years before they opened the D’Ville Diner in Deckerville. She loved
raising her daughters and enjoying time with her grandchildren and later her great
grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Darryl), Ruthann, and Susan (Gary) as
well as her eight grandchildren, Kurtis (Madison), Gara (Stacey), Phil (Ashley), Emily
(Donald), Jenna (Derek), Lauren (Kyle), Jacob, and Jaxen. She was also blessed with
five great grandchildren. Sharon grew up in a large family with three brothers: John
(Carol), Doug (Rhonda) and Chuck in addition to four sisters: Dorothy (Jim), Nancy
(Dick), Christine (John), and Tarry (Frank) as well as her friend Connie (John)
Bowerman. Sharon will be sorely missed by her family and all those who were lucky
enough to have her as a friend.
Visitation will be held at the Apsey Funeral Home in Deckerville from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
on Thursday, May 29 th . A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 11:00
a.m. on Friday, May 30 th at the Apsey Funeral Home with a luncheon to follow. She will
be laid to rest at Downing Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon requested that memorials be made to the Deckerville League
of Women or United Hospice of Marlette. Condolences may be sent online to
