Shirley Goheen

Shirley Ann Goheen, age 82, of Sandusky, passed away on Saturday August 22, 2009 in her home. She was born September 17, 1926 in Mt. Clemens, the daughter of the late William and Violet (Donavan) Edgette. She married Merle Goheen on September 27, 1968 in Port Sanilac, he preceded in death November 7, 1992. Mrs. Goheen worked for the Deckerville School system from 1969-1988 as a cook. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sandusky. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Bill Gavin of Sandusky, three daughters Mrs. Colleen Gavin-Hersem of Fla., Ms. Lorrie Gavin of OK., and Mrs. Maureen Gavin-Sweet of HI., seven grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Eunice Hall of Fenton. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Goheen will be 11:00AM., Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Fr. Charles Hammon will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9:00 PM. Wednesday and 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Memorials may be given to American Hospice Care, Inc.
