Stella Catalano

Stella B. Catalano, age 91, of Deckerville, died Wednesday December 16, 2009 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born April 5, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Barthomew and Antonia (Pietryke) Flezar. She married Frank Catalano Sr., on February 14, 1938 in Detroit. He preceded in death in 1977. Mrs. Catalano was a member of the Detroit Rose Society, a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader and a Civil Defense representative in the 1950?s. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank Jr., and Shirley Catalano of Deckerville, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, and one nephew and two nieces. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Stella B. Catalano will be 1:00 PM., Monday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Fr. Paul Bala will officiate. Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the time of services on Monday. Memorials may be given to the family discretionary fund.
