Susan Joan Roberts

Susan J. Roberts, age 55, of Deckerville, died Sunday March 15, 2026, in the home of her father. She was born on January 5, 1971, the daughter of the late Ward and Joan (Tanton) Hooper. Sue grew up in the Deckerville area and attended Deckerville Community School, graduating in 1989. On August 23, 1997, she married Greg Roberts in Verona. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2016. Over the years Sue worked as a nanny, Deckerville Die-Form, the Wayside Inn, the Forester Inn, drove trucks with her husband and later was the bookkeeper for her father’s construction business. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking and started the Euchre Club at the Deckerville Silver Tavern. She is survived by her sister Tina (Shawn) Monahon of Hudsonville; and two nieces Kayla and Taylor; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held to celebrate the life of Susan Roberts on Saturday March 28, 2026, from 11:00-1:00 pm at the Peshek Family Funeral Home - Apsey Chapel.

A memorial luncheon will follow in the New Grouds gathering Place.
