Susan E. Thayer

Susan (Suzy) E. Thayer, age 70, of San Diego, CA formerly of Deckerville, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2021. Suzy Thayer was born on December 24, 1950, in Saginaw, MI to the late Arnold and Lois (Ortner) Keinath. Suzy worked as a Legal Secretary until her retirement. She loved her family and was someone who lived her life in deep gratitude and total trust in the Lord. Suzy is survived by her daughter Monica (Patrick) Catanach of Castle Rock, CO, grandchildren Lance Catanach and Kailey (Jesse) Vukovinsky; brother Gerald (Merlann) Keinath of Deckerville and sister Sally (Doug) Tobi of Port Sanilac and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place 11:00 am Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Peace Lutheran Church, Sandusky Pastor Bryan L Hopfensperger will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services on Thursday. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery Memorial donations may be given to The Goodtimers.
