Suzanne (Suzie) McVittie Wagner age 65, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday, July 12, 2025, after a prolonged illness. Suzie was born September 4, 1959, in Deckerville, to the late Arnold and Sally McVittie. She graduated from Deckerville High school in 1977, then attend Bob Jones University and Calvin College where in 1981, she graduated with a major in Education. Suzie met her beloved husband, Dennis Wagner, also from Deckerville, in 1980. Dennis and Suzie were married on August 8, 1981, in Deckerville. They first lived in Sandusky, where Suzie had her first teaching job at Sandusky Christian School. They subsequently moved to Kalamazoo in 1984, where Suzie taught at Howardsville Christian School until 1990 when they moved to Jenison and Suzie began teaching at Freedom Christian School.

Dennis and Suzie became members of Grace Bible Church in Grandville in 1991 where Suzie became a pianist and organist for many years. Suzie retired from teaching in 2018. And began working for Creative Dining Services, joining her husband at Camp Geneva, where she worked in the kitchen until 2022, when they moved to a house they had built in Vanderbilt Michigan. In October 2024 They moved to Palm Coast, Florida, where Dennis’s sister Debra Wagner had offered to help Dennis in carrying for Suzie. Suzie loved teaching, playing piano, the beach and her pool, reading, gardening, and her little dogs.

Suzie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis Wagner, her brother Scott ( Pat) McVittie of Deckerville, her sister Shellie (Ryan) Watters of Gaylord, and her sister-in-law Debra Wagner. As well as many aunts and uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

Suzie was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial service is planned for August 26, 2025, in Grandville, MI. Time is to be determined later.
