Thomas J. Martin

Thomas James Martin, age 54, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Deckerville Hospital. He was born March 28, 1959 in Deckerville, the son of Betty (Springborn) and the late August Martin. Thomas was loved by anyone who came in contact with him. He enjoyed being a self-employed truck driver and watching the Detroit Tigers. Thomas is survived by his mother, Betty Martin; siblings: Roger (Patti) Martin and Kathleen (Richard) Spranger; nieces and nephews: Monica Warczinsky, Richard (Melissa) Spranger, James (Caroline) Martin, Dana (Sean) VanDusen, Sarah Rudgers, Lisa Martin and Justin Spranger; many loving cousins and close friends. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Apsey Funeral Home in Deckerville from 2-9pm. The funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Sandusky. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will take place in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery.
