Virginia Godbey

VIRGINIA MARGARET GODBEY 67 a forty year resident of the Port Huron area died Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Medilodge of Richmond. Ms. Godbey was born February 8, 1941 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Noah and Virginia (Martin) Argabright. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ray and Cheryl Godbey of Ray Township, Martha and Robert Pritchard of Yale and Sandra Godbey of Crosswell, sister of Noah and Janet Argabright, Roy Argabright, Jeraldine Houchins and Doshie and Buckie Bandy all of Virginia, former husband and friend, Ray Godbey Sr. of Yale, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Margaret Godbey. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 20th from 3 to 8pm in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond, Michigan and Thursday from 6 to 9pm in Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00am in the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home. Reverend John Godbey will officiate. Burial will be in the Godbey-Sparks Cemetery in Richlands, VA.
