Two months ago, Wayne made the most important decision of his life, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. On December 3, 2025 at 11:56 a.m., the Lord came to Wayne and took him to his eternal home. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Fern and his grandson Luke. Wayne was born on the family farm on August 30, 1944 to Telford and Orma (Bowling) Williamson. On April 25, 1964, he was united in marriage to Fern Tanton. They were married over 45 years. Wayne is survived by three daughters: Robin (John) Knoerr-Hartwick, Vicki (Devon) Smith, and Valorie (Dan) Liebler, four grandchildren, Brad Knoerr, Kyle (Shashauna) Knoerr, Sara (Chet) Baldini, and Tricia Smith, four beloved great grandchildren, Layla, Lacey, Layden and Layker Knoerr; one sister, Elaine (Paul) Cowley. He is also survived by his other family: all the past and present staff at Carol’s AFC in Port Sanilac who cared for and loved him for many years. A special thank you to all the staff at Autumnwood of Deckerville for making sure his last days were the most comfortable and peaceful they could be.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like all memorials to go to Carol’s AFC in Port Sanilac or Autumnwood of Deckerville for Activity Department.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Peshek Family Funeral Home – Apsey Chapel, 3467 Main St., Deckerville, MI 48427.
