Wendell Whitwam

G. Wendell Whitwam, age 89, of Deckerville, died Sunday April 12, 2009 in the Huron Medical Care Facility. He was born May 30, 1919 in Bridgehampton Township, the son of the late George C. and Emma (Kelly) Whitwam. He married Miss. Alice McFarlane on August 3, 1951 in McGregor. Wendell was a life long area farmer who enjoyed deer hunting and being with his family. He was a friend of the former McGregor R.L.D.S. church, and attended the present day Sandusky Community of Christ Church. He is survived by his wife Alice, three sons, Allen, Herb and Daniel all of Deckerville, one daughter Vicki (James) Roth of Bad Axe, five grandsons, Brad (Rachelle) Roth of Bad Axe, Nick (Kim) Roth of Owendale, Adam (Christine) Roth of VA., Jeremy (Malory) Roth of Bad Axe, and Zack Roth also of Bad Axe, two great grandchildren, Luke and Logan Roth, one sister Mrs. Irma Abbott of Deckerville. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Wendall Whitwam, will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Elder Kenneth Dean will officiate.
