William Baltierra

William "Willie" Baltierra, 71 of New Haven died March 13, 2007 in Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born on June 20, 1935 to the late Balasar and Augustina (Fermandro) Baltierra. Mr. Baltierra graduated from New Haven High school in 1954 and retired from General Motors in 1989 where he worked as a job setter. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, visiting with friends, and mostly spending time with his family. He is survived by his dear friend and companion Darlene Socia, children: William (Linda) Baltierra of Lenox, Kimberly Baltierra of Utica, and Darl "Butch" Baltierra of Utica, daughter-in-law Penny Baltierra of Allenton, step-daughter Cheryl (William) Cherry of Chesterfield, brother John Baltierra of New Haven, sister Mary Brauer of Chesterfield, eighteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Dale Baltierra, brother Joseph Baltierra, and sister Lucy Gasiorkiewcz. A funeral service will be Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10:30 am in Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Rev. Alvin Titus will officiate. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery in New Haven. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 9 and Saturday from 10 to 10:30 in the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be directed to the Wishes of the Family.
