William E. Brown Jr.

William E. Brown Jr., age 75 of Deckerville, passed away Saturday October 27, 2018 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born July 19, 1943 in Snover, the son of the late William Sr., and Jessie (Amey) Brown. He grew up in the Snover area, attended Snover school and Sandusky High School. On September 10, 1966 he married Miss. Diana K. Bokach in Sandusky. She preceded him in death October 26, 2016. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He and Diana built and owned and operated the Avoca Party Store for several years. After selling the store, he farmed for a few years, then he became the owner of Brown's Party Stores in Argyle, and Deckerville. Bill enjoyed watching football and running his business, along with finding something he could make a buck on. He is survived by two sons, William E. (Kristy) Brown III and Dan (LeAnn) Brown; seven grandchildren, Josie Brown, Ali Brown, Rachel Brown, William Brown IV, Aiden Brown, Cooper Brown, and Peyton Brown; two brothers Robert Brown and Terry Brown both of Snover; and one sister Karen Pritchett of Owasso. He was preceded in death by one sister Aileen Noll; brother-in-law Rex Pritchett; and sister-in-law Diane Brown. Funeral services to honor the life of William E. Brown Jr., will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday October 31, in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Debra Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 PM., Tuesday and 10:00 AM., until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Downing Cemetery.
