He was married to Edna Jean Wilson on September 18, 1943. Bill was a sportsman who was a proud ?honorary? member of the Oakland Beagle Club, the Deckerville Sports Boosters Club, a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan and unofficial euchre champ of the Deckerville Community Center. Bill spent many hours following his beagles through the brush, chasing a golf ball down the fairway and pacing the sidelines during Deckerville High School football games. He was a natural engineer who could fix anything with a piece of wire or baling twine, and he loved to reminisce about working the farm with a team of horses. In recent years he was dedicated to the return of bluebirds to the area by building and placing nesting boxes.
The family would like to thank his great-nephew Randy Davidson and his caregiver Connie Barr for their care and support of Bill as his health declined. In memoriam donations for Bill can be made to the Deckerville Community Hospital , 3559 Pine St., Deckerville, MI, 48427, or the Deckerville Public Library, 3542 N. Main St, Deckerville, MI, 48427.
