William J. Dempsey Iii

William J. Dempsey III, age 62, of Deckerville, passed away Thursday August 17, 2017 in his home. He was born August 30, 1954 in Macomb the son of William J. Dempsey II and the late Joann M. Vanriette. He married Connie L. Barr on April 9, 2011 in Carsonville. William worked for Transport Services in Midland as a truck driver. He was a member of the Deckerville Bible Church. He enjoyed hunting for turkey and deer, ice fishing and being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Connie of Deckerville; children, Rhonda (Jeff) Stone of Deckerville, Billie Jo Dempsey of Caro, Carrie Barr (Kyle), and Caylee Barr (Hunter) both of Deckerville and Jayce (Makayla) Barr of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Riley, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Leha, Carter, and Aubrieyanna; three sisters, Sue (Aubrey) Starrett of Macomb, Teri Mann of CA, Lisa (Dan) Plummer of Macomb; one brother David (Pam) Dempsey of Roseville; his father William J. Dempsey II of Macomb. A memorial service to honor the life of William J. Dempsey III will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday August 26, 2017 in the Deckerville Bible Church. Pastor Jerry Griggs will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at noon on Saturday.
