William Keith Doty

Keith Doty, age 86 of Deckerville, died Saturday September 18, 2021, in McLaren Port Huron Hospital. He was born March 3, 1935, in Hesperia, the son of the late Coe and Wilhelmina (Emans) Doty. Keith grew up in Fowlerville and attended Fowlerville High School. In 1953 he joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany until 1956. On March 22, 1969, he married Janet M. Sciver in Howell. Keith was a former Minister serving the Deckerville Church of Christ. He also worked for the Deckerville Community Hospital and Autumnwood of Deckerville as a custodian. He also enjoyed woodworking. Keith is survived by his wife Janet of Deckerville; two sons, Bruce (Ginger) Doty of Brighton, Henry (Kelly) Doty of OH; three daughters, Deborah (Richard) Caldwell of Flint, Dawn (Ed) Zapinski of Deckerville, Wendy (Mike) Galloway of IL; two sisters, Shirley Chase, and Ila (Bill) Phillips both of CA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Juanita and three sons, Doug Doty, Christopher Doty, and William Doty Jr.; one brother Dale Doty and one sister JoAnn Hansel. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
