William Glen Smith

William H. Smith, age 73, of Deckerville died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Deckerville Hospital. He was Born January 11, 1937 in Marion Township, the son of Marvin and Thelma (Lamont) Smith. He married Mary Tomichek on March 17, 1962 in Deckerville. He was a former employee of Marlette Homes, Tubbs Brothers, and R. Janus Supply, and was also a member of Deckerville Village Council. He enjoyed camping, and being with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary Tomichek, One son and daughter in law Paul (Kathy) Smith, One daughter and son in law Tricia (Brian) Pawlowski, His mother Thelma (Lamont) Smith, Four Grandchildren: Kally, Ben, Sheridan, and Kendall, One sister-in-law Joanne Smith, and two Brother-in-laws John (Sandy) Tomichek, and Al (Pat) Tomichek, Aunt Mary Wilkowski, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tracy Lynn Smith, one grandson William Stanley Smith, father Marvin Smith, and brother Keith Smith. Funeral Services to celebrate the life of William H. Smith will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Vickie Smith of Christian Refuge will officiate. Burial will be in the Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 ? 9:00 pm on Friday.
