Wilma M. Jones

Wilma M. Jones, age 86, of Chesterfield died Thursday December 10, 2020, in Autumnwood of Deckerville. She was born November 12, 1934 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Willard and Grace (Niblick) Crawford. She grew up in Lansing and attended Eastern High School Class of 1952. On February 16, 1952 she married J.E. Jones in Lansing. He preceded her in death April 16, 2014. Wilma was former employee of the Shelby Township Meijer. She was a former Girl Scout and Blue Bird Leader. She was a member of the Cannon Township Fire Department Auxiliary and worked on the Township election board. She enjoyed crocheting, playing BUNCO, bowling, dancing, camping in Michigan and out west and spending winters in Arizona. Wilma was a member of the Bostwick Lake Congregational Church in Rockford. She is survived by two sons, Jack (Suzanne) Jones of AZ., and Timothy (Nancy) Jones of Gowen; two daughters, Cindy (Nelson) Brown of Ft. Gratiot, and Debbi Jones of Chesterfield; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Betty Wilhelm of Midland and brother-in-law Paul (Shirley) Jones of SC. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Crawford, Clare Crawford, and Wayne Crawford: four sisters, Gretchen Stephan, Donna Farnsworth, Helen Cleland and Ginny Hamilton. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor the life of Wilma M. Jones. Memorials may be given to the Cannon Township Fire Department.
